There’s just one week to go until Worcester Street Sixes takes over the heart of the city once again. For those who’ve never been, this is not your average cricket day. It’s a day where local businesses face off in friendly cricket matches right in the middle of Worcester’s High Street – all to raise funds for a great cause.
Set for 15th July, the event transforms Worcester High Street into a pop-up cricket pitch where local businesses swap desks for bats, trainers for spikes and emails for enthusiastic chants. Last year’s event was filled with laughter, competitive spirit and moments of genuine connection and this year is shaping up to top it.
Who’s Stepping Up to Worcester Street Sixes Field?
We’ve had a brilliant response from local businesses and organisations signing up to take part on this year’s Worcester Street Sixes and we wanted to shine a light on some of the teams joining us:
- Howden: As the official insurance broker partner to the ECB, Howden supports grassroots cricket nationally and is proud to back local cricket initiatives right here in Worcester.

Why It Matters
Worcester Street Sixes directly supports the work of the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, while enjoying a fun day out with your business colleagues. Funds raised go towards inclusive cricket programmes like Walking Cricket, Super 1s for young people with disabilities, HAF holiday camps and grassroots coaching initiatives across the county.
Every ball bowled and run scored helps grow cricket in Worcester and create new opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved.
A Look Back
If you’ve been before, you’ll know the energy this event brings. From spectators cheering on their colleagues, to local businesses proudly wearing their branded kits, it’s a day full of high-fives, good vibes and memories made.
Last year, we saw teams of first-timers fall in love with the game, experienced cricketers mentor their peers and communities come together in ways that went far beyond sport. It’s cricket with purpose and personality.
