Worcestershire Cricket Foundation is committed to training and supporting the volunteers who play a crucial role in helping recreational cricket thrive within the county.
What We Do
Coach Development
We deliver ECB coaching courses, allowing people to gain their ECB Support Coach, ECB Foundation Coach (Level 1) and ECB Core Coach (Level 2) qualifications.
First Aid
All coaches who are leading sessions in Worcestershire are expected to have a valid and up to date First Aid certificate.
Safeguarding Courses
We deliver Safe Hands Workshops for Club Safeguarding Officers (CSOs), ensuring they have the necessary training to create environments that are safe, welcoming and friendly for children to enjoy the game of cricket.
Umpiring & Scoring
We deliver an Introduction to Umpiring & Scoring course, as well as the entry-level ECB courses for both.
Young Cricket Collective
A young volunteering initiative for 14-18-year-olds, with three workshops exploring different areas of volunteering.
Reward & Recognition
We recognise the hard work of volunteers at our end-of-season Cricket Collective Awards and during the season with our Volunteer of the Month award.
ECB Coaches Association & Association of Cricket Officials
The ECB have two national associations, which look after coaches and officials.
The Coaches Association (CA) offers a range of products and services that help you to support players.
The Association of Cricket Officials (ACO) represents scorers and umpires.
Both associations have free and paid-for tiers of memberships.
