School Competitions
We run competitions and festivals for all ages and abilities from Year 1 to Year 10. These run from January to July, including indoor and outdoor, hardball and softball opportunities. Some competitions progress to Regional and National Finals. Competition fixtures are played at local indoor venues, schools or cricket clubs.
Our Competitions
KS1 Festivals
These skills festivals involve activity stations that pupils rotate around, practising their batting, bowling, fielding and teamworking skills. The festivals are a fantastic opportunity for pupils to practise their skills but to also visit a local cricket club and find out how they can continue playing through All Stars Cricket.
KS2 Festivals
Dynamos Schools introduces children to the countdown cricket format and provides a consistent experience across schools and clubs. Each team has eight players (both girls and boys) and bats for 40 balls. All players get to bowl 5 balls. Games are played with a plastic bat and ball.
Dynamos Schools Countdown Cricket Competitions
Dynamos Schools Countdown Cricket competitions run from May – July and are run out of local cricket clubs, with assistance from sports leaders from various secondary schools. Competitions are available to Yr. 3/4, Yr. 5/6 Open and Yr. 5/6 Girls. These are run in each of the 8 school partnerships with winners from each being invited to County Finals which are held at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
Chance to Compete
The U13 and U15 Girls and Year 7 (mixed gender) county finals are softball cricket competitions that take place during the summer term. The competitions are 8-a-side and are open to all middle and secondary state schools in Worcestershire.
Indoor Cricket Competition
Indoor Cricket Competition and create regular participation through an exciting, fun, fast format of the game.
The Competition is open to all Secondary and independent Schools throughout England and Wales in the U13 and U15 age groups with the winner then representing the county in regional finals at Edgbaston. In 2024 we are also piloting in partnership with Chance to Shine U13 and U15 state school boys indoor competitions based on Street Cricket format.

All really enjoyed the activity
We have had three sessions of indoor cricket provided for our young people now. The participants were aged between 10-18. All really enjoyed the activity, regardless of their sporting ability. Thank you!
