Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
At Worcestershire Cricket Foundation we are committed to making cricket a game for everyone. We want people and communities to be united by the knowledge that cricket is a game for all.
We strongly support equity, equality, diversity and inclusion within our sport. We commit to the ECB 5-year plan of “Inspiring generations”.
Worcestershire Cricket Foundation intends to deliver our EDI objectives via five areas of activity:

Communication
These areas will focus primarily on sets of short-term goals alongside work already in progress in our five-year CPA Plan and agreement which span both Worcestershire Cricket as a business and across our network of partners.

We stand against discrimination in all its forms and are committed to ensuring that cricket is a game for everyone.

If you have experienced or witnessed discrimination, you can report it to our EDI Lead, Cheryl Instan-Smith – Safeguarding@worcestershirecricketfoundation.co.uk
If you prefer, you can report your concern directly to the Cricket Regulator via their website: https://www.cricketregulator.co.uk/reporting-discrimination. You can choose whether to report discrimination anonymously or alongside your name and contact details.
Any reports will then be reviewed and investigated by either us or the Cricket Regulator depending on where it has been reported.
Only by working together with players, spectators, coaches, officials, and clubs can we make the progress cricket deserves.

Game-wide commitment
The ECB is committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) throughout cricket, ensuring that everyone feels the game is truly for them. Together, with shared ambition, our goal is clear:
To make cricket the most inclusive sport in the country.
To support this, the ECB has developed its own ED&I action plan. In collaboration with MCC, the PCA, NCCA Ltd, First-Class Counties, and the Recreational County Cricket network, a game-wide action plan for 2025–2028 has been established. This plan aims to tackle discrimination and promote inclusion across all levels of the game.

Introducing the Boundary Training
A new online course, “Introducing the Boundary,” is now available. This training covers how to recognise, challenge, report, and prevent discrimination—both on and off the field. It replaces all previous online modules related to Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and discrimination across the recreational game.
The course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and practical tools to help prevent discrimination and respond appropriately when incidents occur.
To receive your certificate, please ensure you complete all sections of the training.

Raising the Game

A wonderful experience
Was a wonderful experience playing cricket with like minded. Well organized by the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation. Well managed and communication is excellent. Running through out the year is excellent to showcase our skills, fitness and mental health.
