Worcestershire Cricket Foundation today announces Billy Clark as its new Executive Director
Billy joins Worcestershire Cricket Foundation following more than two decades within the sporting landscape, working across professional sports clubs, local government, national governing bodies and the commercial sports sector.
His most recent position has been Client Director at International Sports Consulting, following a merger of his own athlete representation agency in 2018. At ISC, he has been responsible for growing the Rugby and Commercial divisions, representing world class talent and providing consultancy to brands and rights holders to grow revenue and sponsorship.
He started his career as a professional rugby player at Leicester Tigers, before injury prompted the move into sports development within the Tigers Foundation, where he spent three years delivering development programmes within the community.
Billy went on to manage further community sports initiatives with the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames, before taking up the post of Age Grade Competitions Manager at the Rugby Football Union. In his time at the RFU, he developed and delivered large-scale national club and school competitions and established the well-respected RFU ACE League, the principal player pathway to the elite game for the state school sector.
On leaving the RFU, he spent two years at Gloucester Rugby as Academy Manager and then three further years heading up the London Irish Academy where he led the revitalisation of both programmes.
Billy said: “I’m really excited to be joining the team at the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation. The impact of the charity’s work within the community is incredible and I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing success and future growth of the foundation”
Joint Chair of Trustees at Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, Jane Ellis-Seabrook and Sally Glarvey, added: “We are really excited about Billy’s arrival. We think his leadership skills and vision make him an exceptional addition to the Foundation. We are confident that his contributions will be pivotal in driving our mission forward. We look forward to working with him and making a significant impact through our charity”
