Worcestershire Cricket Foundation hosted its Winter Walking Cricket Festival at Malvern Active Sport Centre on Wednesday 17th December. The day saw lots of fun, competitive games and was a fantastic way to welcome in Christmas and conclude Walking Cricket for 2025.
The day involved over 70 people across eight teams from our, Evesham, Dudley, Redditch, Bromsgrove and two Worcester hubs, as well as welcoming a team from Herefordshire. However, there could only be one winner!
Dudley and Redditch both won all three of their games, so it had to go down to runs scored. Redditch were crowned champions by scoring four more runs.
Walking cricket is a great way to stay active as you get older. It is a slower-paced game of the sport we all love. We are always looking for new members to join our hubs. If you are interested in giving it a go, please find a session near you here.
