A record 12 teams took part in the annual Table Cricket county finals as schools from across the county gathered for a day of competitive action. Organised by WCF, the festival marked the highest number of entries in the event’s history, highlighting the continued growth of table cricket across the region.
Pupils competed throughout the day in a series of matches that showcased skill, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The finals were delivered in partnership with the University of Worcester, with students from its cricket coaching course officiating the games. The students had earlier completed a CPD unit led by WCF and the Lord’s Taverners, equipping them with the skills to deliver and referee table cricket fixtures.
Pitcheroak emerged as overall winners after a nail biting final with Chadsgrove and will now progress to the regional finals at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
A huge well done and thank you to all schools that attended and the University of Worcester lecturers and students.
