There’s nothing quite like seeing the middle of Worcester turned into a cricket pitch for the day – which is why we’re excited to share that Worcester Street Sixes is back this July!
After the success of last year’s event, we’re bringing street cricket to the city centre once again and this time, we’re aiming even bigger.
What Is Worcester Street Sixes?
In short, it’s fast-paced, six-a-side street cricket played right in the heart of Worcester. But it’s also a team-building day, a charity fundraiser and a whole lot of fun.
The event is open to companies across the region. You get a squad together – up to 10 players – sign in on the day and take to the street for a friendly but competitive afternoon of cricket.
It’s ideal for businesses who want to give their staff a day out with something more active, memorable and totally unique.
Why We Do It
Yes, it’s cricket. Yes, it’s competitive. But the real goal of Worcester Street Sixes is community. It’s about bringing people together – from different industries, backgrounds and corners of the county – all playing the same game, in the same place, for the same cause.
The event also helps raise funds for the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, so every run, wicket and six supports our work across inclusion, wellbeing and youth development through cricket.
What You Get from It
Aside from a few brilliant memories – and probably some sore muscles – teams that take part in Worcester Street Sixes walk away with:

- A moment to reset, recharge and just enjoy being a team
This is for everyone; cricket lovers or beginners, no matter the experience. We’ve had accountants batting in hi-vis vests, marketers celebrating boundaries like pros and managers rediscovering their competitive streak in front of their teams. It’s all part of the fun.
When Is It Going to Take Place?
This year’s Worcester Street Sixes will take place on Tuesday 15th July, right in the centre of Worcester. Teams will arrive from 12:30pm to sign in and get ready, with the first game starting at 1:00pm and play continuing through to 5:00pm.
Each team can bring a squad of up to 10 players and the cost to enter is £500 per team. If your company is keen to take part, you can sign up now via the registration form here.
