Funding Secured to Deliver Seated Multi-Sports Sessions for Older Adults

Worcestershire Cricket Foundation is delighted to have received funding to support the delivery of seated multi-sports sessions for older adults across four Platform Housing facilities.

The funding will enable WCF to run a ten-week block of sessions, providing residents with the opportunity to take part in low-impact, accessible physical activity in a supportive and social environment.

The seated multi-sports programme is designed to help improve mobility, strength, and coordination, while also offering a valuable chance for participants to connect with others and enjoy regular activity. Early sessions are already underway, with positive feedback from residents who are enjoying both the physical and social benefits.

By bringing sessions directly into housing facilities, the programme removes many of the barriers that can prevent older adults from taking part in sport and physical activity, helping more people stay active and independent.

A huge thank you goes to Platform Housing for their support in making this programme possible.

WCF looks forward to continuing to deliver these sessions and seeing the positive impact they will have across all four locations.
