Clubs update newsletter and WhatsApp community

Worcestershire Cricket Foundation is streamlining the way it communicates with cricket clubs across the county, with the launch of a brand-new Clubs Update Newsletter and WhatsApp community.

The Clubs team at WCF has recently reviewed the way it delivers support to the club network, with a large volume of information (covering a wide range of topics) needing to be sent out on a regular basis.

In 2025, the bulk of this communication will be streamlined into a Clubs Update Newsletter, with lesser reliance on emails sent directly to senior clubs officials. This newsletter will be shared every Friday and include all the information most relevant to the club network that week. Emails sent to senior club officials going forward will be either club-specific and/or matters requiring immediate action.

Due to the extensive range on content in the newsletter, it is encouraged that all committee members sign-up to receive it. The wider cricket club membership are also welcome to sign-up.

WCF’s WhatsApp Community

In another new concept, announcements of events, projects, support, funding and more will now be shared through a brand-new WhatsApp community.

Various existing club groups have been migrated into this community, to help make it easier for people to access different communications.

The individual groups will still be operational, but announcements from WCF will be sent in the main channel and therefore accessible to all.

Announcements will also continue to shared across social media channels and on the website.
