WCF launch new localised Club Support Groups

Cricket Club

Worcestershire Cricket Foundation (WCF) has today launched five new Club Support Groups for its 64 Primary Affiliated Clubs, aiming to faciliate local clubs in assisting each other by peer-networking and make an easier communication channel between WCF and its clubs.

Each Club Support Group will meet in-person twice each calender year (pre-season and post-season), with the inaugral meetings penned in the diary for mid-February. These meetings will include updates on Club Affiliation, Club Accreditation (replacement for Clubmark), County Grands funding, safeguarding, volunteer engagement, women & girls cricket, National Youth Programmes, educational courses and more.

As a broad range of topics will be discussed at meetings, clubs are welcome to bring along multiple committee members to meetings.

A dedicated Club Development Officer will look after each group and all the clubs in it, with James Casey assigned to the Central and West groups and Alex Sinderberry-Woods assigned to the North, East and South. WhatsApp groups have also been created for each Club Support Group to be able to stay in touch between meetings.

For those clubs who are changing Club Development Officer (nine clubs are moving to James Casey), you will shortly receive direct communication confirming this. However, a full breakdown of the groups can be found below:
