Seated MULTI-SPORTS
Our seated multi-sports programme offers a range of adapted activities, providing fun and inclusive participation for all.
Seated Multi-Sports
Worcestershire Cricket Foundation offers a range of seated multi-sports including:
- Seated cricket
- Seated Boccia
- Seated New-Age Kurling
- Seated Banded Exercise
- Seated Football
- Seated Multi-Skills Games
All sessions can be adapted so suit the needs of the groups we work with and activities can be tailored to suit individual needs with adapted equipment. And the best thing? We don’t need a lot of space!
We currently work with a range of partners, including care homes, dementia groups, Friends of Parkinson’s groups, and many more!
Why choose Seated Multi-Sports?
There are 7 key benefits to the seated multi-sport programme:
1. Improved Mobility and Flexibility – Gentle, seated movements help maintain joint flexibility, reduce stiffness, and support overall mobility without placing strain on the body.
2. Enhanced Strength and Balance – Even while seated, participants can build muscle strength—particularly in the upper body and core—which supports better posture and helps reduce the risk of falls.
3. Cardiovascular Health – Light aerobic seated activities can increase heart rate safely, supporting heart health and circulation.
4. Reduced Risk of Injury – Because activities are performed from a stable seated position, there is minimal impact on joints and a much lower risk of falling or overexerting.
5. Mental Wellbeing – Group sessions promote social interaction, boost mood, reduce feelings of loneliness, and support overall emotional wellbeing.
6. Cognitive Stimulation – Activities often involve coordination, timing, and following instructions, which help keep the mind active and engaged.
7. Increased Confidence – Older adults who may feel anxious about traditional exercise can participate safely, helping them regain confidence in their physical abilities.

They were both brilliant!
Elsa and Jacob facilitated a seated cricket session for a group of our cancer patients. They were both brilliant with all the patients and the feedback from the group was superb. Looking forward to doing walking cricket with the patients soon.
