Aimed at children aged 8-15, mostly in areas where Cricket isn’t as accessible, these groups are designed to act as an introduction to the sport and a place where they can express themselves, meet new people and hopefully grow friendships over a sustained period of time, as well as become Confident Cricketers!

During the past 2 years, we have seen a massive increase in participation, going from 1800 attendances in 2023 to over 3000 in 2025 and our aim is to grow further in this coming year.

These groups are a place where children can feel safe, included and able to improve at their own pace, with no selection criteria or cost, it is truly open to every child.

It isn’t just about the weekly sessions, we also run a range of half term sessions where participants from all of the groups can come together for a celebration of Cricket and each other!

There is also a competitive element for those who want it, we take part in Chance To Shine Regional and National Competitions for both Boys and Girls, with 6 representative teams taking part in this during 2025.
