Schools
At Worcestershire Cricket Foundation we offer schools a variety of programmes both during and after the school day. Programmes on offer to schools include our Chance to Shine Programme, School Offer Coaching, After School Clubs and School Competitions.
School Offer:
Worcestershire Cricket Foundation has a broad range of delivery options for schools across the academic year. Our qualified coaches provide both cricket-specific and Multi Sports coaching for Key Stage 1 & 2 pupils.
This offer is available to any School who would like to access cricket or Multi Sports Coaching. A flexible timetable allows us to work closely with schools to design a bespoke school programme.
For 2023-24 we are also releasing our offer of Glow in the Dark cricket days for schools. If you would like to register your interest or require more information and to about this programe please contact the Schools Development Officer.
All WCF Coaches hold the following as a minimum quality standard:
Level 2 Cricket Coaching certificate
ECB Enhanced DBS (every 3 years)
First Aid qualification in date (every 3 years)
Safeguarding Workshop attendance in date (every 3 years)

What We Do
Chance to Shine
Through our delivery partner Chance to Shine, we wish to provide opportunities for all school pupils to engage in a high-quality skills-based programme, with opportunities for them to progress within cricket at school and in their community.
School Competitions
We run competitions and festivals for all ages and abilities from Year 1 to Year 10. These run from January to July, including indoor and outdoor, hardball and softball opportunities. Some competitions progress to Regional and National Finals. Competition fixtures are played at local indoor venues, schools or cricket clubs.
Worcestershire Schools Cricket Association (WSCA)
The Worcestershire Schools Cricket Association (WSCA) run Under 11 – Under 15’s hardball competitions, including an Under 11’s & 13 girls competition, are open to for primary, middle and secondary schools in both the state and independent sectors and take place during the summer term.
SEND School Delivery
Worcestershire Cricket Foundation delivers the Lord’s Taverners SEND Schools Programme, available to schools across Worcestershire and Dudley (both primary & secondary).
Creating Opportunities
The Community Development team have created a wonderful offer for our children and young people to provide opportunities to those who would not always have cricket opportunities accessible. They have always responded promptly to all queries and made adaption to need where possible. Thank you!
