Women & Girls
Women’s and Girl’s cricket is going from strength to strength in Worcestershire with record number of team entries, growing number of girls and women’s section and lots of exciting community work aiding the growth of the Women’s and Girl’s game.
Women’s Softball Festivals!
Women’s softball cricket festivals provide a fun, welcoming, and social way for women of all ages and abilities to get involved in the game. Designed as an accessible introduction to cricket, these festivals use a soft ball and simplified format, removing many of the barriers that can prevent people from trying the sport for the first time. Hosted by clubs across Worcestershire throughout the summer, the events bring teams together for friendly matches, laughter, and community spirit while helping to grow the women’s game across the county.

Women’s and Girl’s Competitions
Our Women’s and Girls’ cricket competitions provide playing opportunities for all ages and abilities, from Under 9s through to senior cricket. With a mix of softball and hardball formats, the programme is designed to support players at every stage of their cricket journey—whether they are trying the game for the first time or competing in more structured matches. By offering fun, inclusive junior competitions alongside developing hardball pathways, we aim to create a welcoming and progressive environment where girls and women can enjoy cricket, build confidence, and continue playing the game for life.

Girls Countdown Festivals
Girls’ Countdown Cricket Festivals are designed to help bridge the gap between Dynamos and school cricket and our formal club competitions. These fun, supportive events give girls the chance to build confidence, develop their skills, and experience playing in a team environment before moving into regular matches. Using a simple and engaging format, the festivals provide a friendly introduction to competitive cricket while helping players, clubs, and coaches prepare girls for the next step in their cricket journey..

The support was vital
Having the support from Callum and Alex from Worcestershire Cricket Foundation was vital in kick-starting our Women and Girls section. They delivered training to our group early on and have been a great sounding board for me as we continue to develop our teams.
